Father's day gifts can be so hard to get for all the awesome Dads, Daddys, PawPaws, Grand-dadddys, Step Dads, and Uncle Dads in our lives. The young kids love doing the homemade gifts, but our special dads sometimes appreciate the more practical gifts (tools, fishing gear, grill gear, golf gear, etc.) Last year we did a little bit of both with a hand painted "King of the Grill" apron and a basket full of everything needed for the grill.
This entire gift cost less than
$25 dollars per basket, so it was perfect to do for our girls' dad and the grand-dads! The dollar tree has so many great grilling items this time of year so we bought almost all of the basket items there. We bought the basket
serving tray at Walmart ($7.94), and the
aprons from Hobby Lobby (package of 3 was $11.99, then used a 40% coupon and paid around ~ $2.50 per apron.
Here is a list of the items we purchased from Dollar Tree (9 items plus tax was ~$10):
- Barbecue Towel
- Lighter
- Small Charcoal Bag
- Grill Brush
- Grill Scrub Stone
- Metal Spatula
- Tongs
- Aluminum Foil
- Basket Cellophane Bag w/ bow
