Kentucky Derby Bridal Shower

And she's off... to the altar!!!!

I recently was able to help some friends create a Kentucky Derby Theme Bridal Shower for a sweet-soon-to-be bride. What started as just the bridal shower invitations turned into theme matching bridal games, Derby Hat contest, Advice Cards, Shower Banner and signs, and just sweet, sweet fun!

Take a look at the photographs below to see the entire matching shower set.

Dinosaur Birthday

Our sweet baby boy finally hit toddler-dom last September and we threw him a DINO-mite party!

Our son's name is Rex and he is obsessed with dinosaurs....so what better theme to have then a "Two-rannosaurus Rex" Party. Rex also is a big fan of Mexican Food, so instead of Tex-Mex we had tRex-Mex food buffet style and it was delicious! It is also very HOT in Florida in September so we added some water play for our kids and their friends and fiesta-ed are way into the afternoon heat.

Take a look below at all the fun-filled day we had.

Two-Rannosaurus Rex Party Breakdown

Party Theme:  Dinosaurs
Theme Colors: Blue, Green, Orange
Party Food: Mexican  (all home-made) Tacos, Enchiladas, Quesadillas, Nachos, Taco Bake, Cheese and Guacamole Dips. Green Dino Juice for Kids and Green Margaritas for Adults.
Party Desserts: Cupcakes from Wal-Mart Bakery and Cookies from Cookie Love
Party Extras: Rex's Birthday Dino Shirt by My Cup of Tee Boutique
Party Fun: Blow Up Water Slide, Sand Toys, and a Dinosaur Pinata
Lucky7s Studio Supplies: Invitations, Banners, Birthday Cake Bunting, Food Cards, and Gift Bags

The Dino Gift Bags had colorful dinosaurs that we found at the Dollar Tree. I made enough bags for 15 kids and used the extras as cupcake toppers.

It's Gameday! New Sports Birthday Invitations

It's Gameday Ya'll!

The Lucky7s Studio recently designed a football birthday invitation for a football-lovin' little boy! I was sent a picture of the cake ordered for the party and then designed the invitation around that theme to match. It turned out so cute that I just had to do some other sports invitations with the same design for all the soccer and baseball-lovin' boys (and girls!) in our life!

Contact Katrina at the Lucky7s Stationery Studio if you have an upcoming party and are need of some customized invitations that will match whatever theme your imagination can come up with!

Slime Time Birthday Party

Our sweet & sassy middle child, Evy, turned 6 last December... and like so many other kids her age she is OBSESSED with slime! So of course, she wanted a Slime Birthday Party. The slightly OCD-mom part of me was cringing at the thought of a bunch of kids creating slime in my house, but {Lucky} for me we had a great afternoon for the kids to create their slimy mess in our back yard.

What made the party easy and a great success was we found a simple shaving cream slime recipe from Pinterest and we created it the week before to try out exact measurements. From there I made sure each kid had their very own slime making kit. Also, I did not go crazy with party theme food. We kept it simple with some fruit and veggie appetizer trays, pizza and mozzarella sticks, and cupcakes for dessert.

I bought most of the supplies at Walmart, Dollar Tree or Amazon, which meant it either got delivered to me or i picked up using grocery pickup (#WINNING)! I will include all of the links at bottom of this post for price comparisons if you too are a parent wanting to throw a stress-free Slime birthday for your little one!

Fluffy Slime Recipe from Pinterest

The Lucky7s Studio re-organized this recipe and added a background to match our party.
Each recipe was printed off on card stock and added to each individual slime kits.

Slime Kit:
1 Tupperware for mixing, slime recipe, 1 apron, 1 mixing stick, 1 ziplock bag of measured baking soda,
1 small container for eye solution, and 1 small container for water, 1 take home container for slime)

Not only did we have a TON of slime supplies left over to make for a couple of years...
Evy also got a lot of Slime for her birthday! Yay!
